            The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved istradefylline (Nourianz, Kyowa Kirin) tablets as add-on treatment to levodopa/carbidopa in adults with Parkinson’s disease (PD) experiencing “off” episodes. Istradefylline is a selective adenosine A2A receptor antagonist.
